How to Order a Flood Zone Determination Report

If you’re looking to confirm or challenge the official flood zone status of any structure nationwide, you’ve come to the right place!

Here’s how to order your report right here on MyFloodStatus.com, step by step…

1. Visit MyFloodStatus.com

  • Visit our public-facing website www.myfloodstatus.com

  • Once you’re on myfloodstatus.com, navigate to the site there is a blue button in the top right corner of the screen that says "Order A Report". 

  • Click that button to enter our ordering system.

2. Search For A Property

  • Select State, and continue using Quick Search vs. Advanced Search. (See image 1)

  • Under Quick Search, begin typing the first part of the address. Less is more. For example, instead of entering the full “known” street address (Image 2), only entering “9 Wolfe” allowed the system to pull up multiple verified address options to choose from. (Image 3)

  • If an address comes up in our quick search bar and it's the right address, select that address to use the verified address and click the green “Next” button.  (See Image 4)

  • If none of the addresses are correct, select "None of these parcels", which will reveal a Property Description form. Input the parcel address, city state and zip code exactly as you have it. If you have the property block, lot or legal description include these and then select next. (See Image 5)

If you continue having trouble entering your property information, click the “Help, I can’t find my property” link or Contact Us.

 

3. Select A Report to Order

  • Select the reporting product you want to order. To certify the flood zone of a structure, and clarify flood insurance requirements, order a Flood Zone Determination report for $30.

  • Enter the Email you would like the report delivered to, and the phone number we can use to contact you.

  • Fill in payment information and continue. 

  • Upon completion, you will receive an order confirmation number for your records.

  • Your report will be emailed to you within roughly 1-4 hours if ordered within regular business hours. 

 

Additional Products

If you are looking to order either of an Elevation Certificate (EC) or a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA), you should first order a Flood Zone Determination.

An Elevation Certificate (EC) can also be ordered directly through us on our site as well if the property is located in the state of NJ. Our cost for the EC is $800.

If outside the state of NJ, you would need to find a local surveyor, who may typically charge roughly $400-800 for the EC, depending on the surveyor. 

You can also initiate the order for a LOMA or eLOMA directly from our system.
